Star Delta starting method
This method is used more often in
the factory. If it is necessary to limit the starting current of the motor due
to power limitations. It is possible to use Star-Delta. From there begins a
connected winding star to connect the motor to the delta. The starting current
used in this method reduces the starting current to about 30% of the direct
inline start value, and the starting torque is reduced to about 25% of the
value using the direct inline start method. Good torque / current performance,
relatively inexpensive starter are the advantages of this method. The
disadvantages are low starting torque, no adjustment, power failure during
connection change and 6 required end motors.
